PINPOINT TEST AL: LFC 5 HZ - RCM IN PLANT MODE

WARNING: Do not disconnect the wire connector at the side air bag module. This is a permanent connection. Doing so may result in air bag accidental deployment, which may result in personal injury.

Normal Operation
A new restraints control module (RCM) is programmed to flash a special code. The code is 5 Hz and is used during vehicle assembly. The code indicates that both (driver and passenger) side air bags are not installed correctly. The code will normally occur when both (and only both) of the following conditions are met:
- a new RCM is installed.
- both side air bags are not correctly installed.

Possible Causes
A 5 Hz LFC can be caused by:
- both front seats not installed.
- both side air bags not correctly installed.
- a faulted RCM.
