Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Description and Operation

CIRCUIT OPERATION
The FRONT SPEAKERS are located at the ends of the I/P. The REAR SPEAKERS location depends upon the model and options selected. On two-door hardtop models, the REAR SPEAKERS are in the rear quarter trim panels. On four-door models without a security shelf, the REAR SPEAKERS are in the hatchback door. On four-door models with a security shelf, the REAR SPEAKERS are in the security shelf. On convertible models, the REAR SPEAKERS are in the trim panels behind the seats.

The RADIO incorporates an electronic memory for preselected station and clock functions. Battery voltage is applied at all times for the RADIO clock and memory circuitry through the TML Fuse. If this voltage source is interrupted for any reason, the clock and memory functions must be reset. With the ignition switch in "ACC" or "ON," battery voltage is applied through the ACC Fuse to the RADIO. When the RADIO "ON/VOL" control is turned "ON," voltage is applied through the switch to power all electronic RADIO functions. The RADIO is permanently grounded at G203.
