Special Tools Required
- Universal Lifting Eyelet 07AAK-SNAA120
- Engine Hanger Adapter VSB02C000015
- Subframe Adapter VSB02C000016
- CR-V Engine Hanger Adapter VSB02C000032
- Engine Support Hanger, A and Reds AAR-T1256

NOTE:
- Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
- To avoid damaging the wiring and terminals, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion.
- Mark all wiring and hoses to avoid misconnection at reassembly. Also, be sure that they do not contact other wiring or hoses, or interfere with other parts.
1. Open the hood, and secure it with hood support rod (A) in the wide-open position (B).
2. Relieve the fuel pressure.

5. Do the battery removal procedure Removal and Replacement.
6. Remove the harness clamp (A) and the ground cable (B).
7. Disconnect the battery cables (A) from the under-hood fuse/relay box.
8. Disconnect the harness connector (B), and remove the harness clamp (C).
9. Remove the PCM cover (A), then remove the three bolts (B) securing the PCM.
10. Disconnect the PCM connectors (A) and the engine wire harness connector (B).
11. Remove the harness clamps (C).
12. Remove the harness clamp (A), then remove the PCM bracket (B).
13. Disconnect the EVAP canister hose (A) and the brake booster vacuum hose (B). Then remove the bolts securing the install pipe component (K24Z6 engine) (C).

14. Remove the quick-connect fitting cover (A), then disconnect the fuel feed hose (B).

15. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.
16. Remove the power steering pump (A) without disconnecting the power steering hoses, then remove the power steering hose from the clamp (B).
17. Remove the radiator cap.
18. Raise the vehicle on the lift.
19. Remove the front wheels.
20. Remove the front splash shield Front Splash Shield Replacement.
21. Loosen the drain plug in the radiator, and drain the engine coolant Service and Repair.
22. Drain the engine oil.
23. Drain the ATF ATF Replacement.
24. Remove the TWC.

25. Remove the shift cable Automatic Transmission Removal.
26. Separate the stabilizer links from the stabilizer bar Front Stabilizer Link Removal/Installation.
27. Separate the knuckles from the lower arms Ball Joint Removal.
28. Remove the front driveshafts Front Driveshaft Removal. Coat all precision-finished surfaces with clean engine oil. Tie plastic bags over the driveshaft ends.
29. 4WD model: Remove the propeller shaft .
30. Remove the bolt (A) securing the power steering fluid line bracket, and unclamp the power steering fluid line clamps (B) on the front subframe.
31. Remove the bolts securing the left steering gearbox mounting bracket.
32. Remove the bolts securing the right steering gearbox mounting brackets.
33. Disconnect the A/C compressor clutch connector (A), then remove the A/C compressor (B) without disconnecting the A/C hoses. Do not bend the A/C hoses excessively.
NOTE: Hang the A/C compressor with a wire tie.
34. Remove the ATF cooler hose Service and Repair.
35. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
36. Remove the radiator Radiator Replacement.
37. Disconnect the heater hoses.

38. K24Z6 engine: Remove the bolt the securing the connector bracket (A) from the engine block.
39. Attach the engine hanger adapter (VSB02C000015) to the threaded hole (A) in the cylinder head.
40. Remove both lids (A) from the cowl cover. Position the engine hanger adapters (VSB02C000032) over the damper flange nuts.
41. Install the front bulkhead.
42. Install the engine support hanger (AAR-T1256) onto the vehicle as shown, and attach the hook to the slotted hole in the hanger adapter. Tighten the wing nut (A) by hand, and lift and support the engine/transmission.
NOTE:
- Be careful when working around the windshield.
- Be careful not to damage the hood opener cable when installing the engine support hanger at the front bulkhead.
43. Raise the vehicle on the lift.
44. Remove the lower torque rod.
45. Make the appropriate reference lines (A) at both ends of the subframe that line up with the body (B).
46. Remove the subframe mounting bolts (A) on both sides.
47. Attach the subframe adapter (VSB02C000016) to the subframe by looping the belt (A) over the front subframe (B), then secure the belt with its stop (C).
48. Raise the transmission jack and line up the slots in the subframe adapter arms with the bolt holes on the jack base, then securely attach them with for bolts.
49. Support the steering gearbox on both sides with nylon straps.
50. Remove the subframe.
51. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
52. Remove the transmission mount (A).
53. Remove the ground cable (A), then remove the transmission mount bracket (B).
54. Install the transmission hanger bracket (A) and the washer (B) on the transmission.
55. Install the universal lifting eyelet (07AAK-SNAA120).
56. Attach a chain hoist (A) to the universal lifting eyelet (B), and the transmission hanger (C). Lift up on the engine/transmission until it's securely supported by the chain hoist, then remove the engine support hanger and the engine hanger adapter.
57. Remove the side engine mount bracket mounting bolt and nut.
58. Check that the engine/transmission is completely free of vacuum hoses, fuel hoses, coolant hoses, and electrical wiring.
59. Slowly lower the engine/transmission about 150 mm (5.91 in). Check once again that all the hoses and the electrical wiring are disconnected and free from the engine/transmission, then lower it all the way and support it.
60. Disconnect the chain hoist from the engine/transmission.
61. Raise the vehicle on the lift, then remove the engine/transmission from under the vehicle.
