Rear Seat Head Restraint Removal/Installation
'10-11 models
NOTE: When using a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. Push a flat-tip screwdriver into the notch at center of the knob (A) to release the tab (B).
2. Insert a 5mm (0.20 in) thickness flat-tip screwdriver in one side of the notches on both sides of the knob (A), then the knob is moved out about 2mm (0.08 in).
3. Remove the head restraint (B).
4. Install the head restraint in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Inspect the knob (A) if it has any of the following damage:
- Any cracks or deformation at the tab (B) of the knob.
- Any cracks or stress-whitened areas in the knob.
- Make sure the head restraint is locked securely. If not, replace the head restraint guide as an assembly.
