Alternator Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures.

2. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

3. Remove the auto-tensioner Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Removal/Installation.

4. Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and the positive alternator cable (B), and remove the harness clamp (C) from the alternator.





5. Remove the PCV valve Service and Repair.

6. Remove the three bolts(A), holding the alternator then remove the alternator.






Installation

1. Install the alternator, then tighten the three bolts.





2. Install the PCV valve Service and Repair.

3. Connect the alternator connector (A) and the positive alternator cable (B) and install the harness clamp (C) to the alternator. Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the alternator when you connect it.





4. Install the auto-tensioner Drive Belt Auto-Tensioner Removal/Installation.

5. Install the drive belt Service and Repair.

6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.
