Cylinder Head Cover Installation
1. Check the spark plug seals for damage. If any seal is damaged, replace it.
2. Thoroughly clean the head cover gasket and the groove of the cylinder cover.
3. Install the head cover gasket (A) in the groove of the cylinder head cover (B). Make sure the head cover gasket is seated securely.
4. Clean the head cover contacting surfaces with a shop towel.
5. Set the spark plug seals (A) on the spark plug tubes, and install the cylinder head cover (B).

6. Inspect the spark plug seals for damage.
7. Inspect the cover washers (C). Replace any washer that is damaged or deteriorated.
8. Tighten the bolts in three steps. In the final step torque the all bolts, in sequence, 12 Nm (1.2 kg-m, 8.7 lb-ft).
Front Cylinder Head Cover
9. Tighten the two bolts (A) securing the harness holder, and install the harness clamp (B).
10. Install the dipstick.
Rear Cylinder Head Cover
11. Tighten the harness holder mounting bolts (A).
12. Install the engine ground cable (B) and connect the breather hose (C), then install the harness (D) to the upper cover.
13. Reconnect the three injector connectors (E) and the two harness clips (F).
14. Install the power steering (P/S) pump and the P/S hose bracket Cylinder Head Installation (J35A6).
15. Install the drive belt Drive Belt Replacement (J35A6).
16. Install the six ignition coils Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Removal/Installation (Except J35A7).
17. Install the intake manifold Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.
