Second Row Seat-Back Recline Cable Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program, 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear the seams or damage the seat covers.
- Take care not to kink the cables.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- The left second row seat is shown; the right second row seat is similar.

1. Slide the second row seat forward fully.

2. Remove the pivot bolt cover and the pivot bolt.

3. Remove the third row seat access trim and back cover, then release the hooks from behind the seat-back, as necessary.

4. Return the second row seat-back, and fold down the seat-back.

5. Pry out the lid (A), and remove the screws securing the recline lever (B).






6. Remove the TORX screw and detach the clip, then remove the recline inner bracket cover (A).






7. Remove the TORX screw and detach the clip, then remove the recline outer bracket cover (A).






8. Detach the clips (A) and disconnect the recline outer cable (B) and the recline inner cable (C). Release the cables from back of the seat-back frame holders (D).






9. Remove the second row seat-back recline lever Second Row Seat-Back Recline Lever Replacement.

10. Install the second row seat-back recline cables in the reverse order of removal and note these items:

- Make sure each cable is connected securely.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
