Front Seat Cushion Cover/Pad Replacement

Special Tools Required

- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program; 888-424-6857

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- Do the ODS unit initialization Programming and Relearning after passenger's seat replacement.

1. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

2. Driver's 10-way power seat: Remove the clips and release the hooks (A), then remove the inner covers (B) from both sides.






3. Passenger's manual seat: Remove the center cover (A).

1. Remove the screw.

2. Gently pull out the cover, then detach the clips, and release the hook (B) and the tabs (C).





4. Driver's manual height adjustable seat: Remove the center cover (A).

1. Remove the screw.

2. Gently pull out the cover, then detach the clips, and release the tabs (B).





5. Driver's 10-way power seat: Remove the center cover (A).

1. Remove the screw.

2. Pull up the cover, then release the hooks (B, C, D).





6. Driver's 10-way power seat: Remove the screw and release the hooks (A), then remove the front cover (B).






7. Passenger's manual seat: Remove the recline cover (A).

1. Remove the recline knob (B) and the screw.

2. Gently pull out the cover, then detach the clip, and release the hook (C) and the tabs (D).





8. Driver's manual height adjustable seat: Pull back the cap (A) to release the hooks (B), and remove the screws, then remove the height adjuster handle (C).






9. Driver's manual height adjustable seat: Remove the recline cover (A).

1. Remove the recline knob (B) and the screw.

2. Gently pull out the cover, then detach the clip, and release the tabs (C).





10. Driver's 10-way power seat: Remove the recline cover (A).

1. Remove the screws.

2. Pull up the cover, then release the hooks (B, C).

3. Disconnect the power seat adjustment switch connector (D) and the lumbar support switch connector (E).

4. Detach the harness clips (F) from the recline cover.





11. From under the seat cushion, release the elastic straps (A) from the seat cushion frame springs (B), then pull back the undercover (C) of the seat-back cover.

12. With seat heater: From under the seat cushion, disconnect (and detach) the seat cushion heater connector (A), and detach the harness clips (B). On the driver's 10-way power seat, remove the wire tie (C).

13. Release the hook strips (A, B) and the retainers (C) from both sides of the seat cushion frame (D).

14. Release the hook strips (A) from under the seat cushion (B).

15. Remove the seat cushion cover/pad (A) and the silencer (B) from the seat cushion frame (C).






16. Release the clips (A) from under the seat cushion (B).






17. Pull back the edge of the seat cushion cover all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (A), then remove the seat cushion cover (B).

18. Install the cover/pad in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- To prevent wrinkles when installing a seat cushion cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the upholstery rings and the hook strips.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat cushion cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
