Cylinder Head Cover Removal

Front

1. Remove the intake manifold Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the three ignition coils from the front cylinder head cover Service and Repair.

3. Disconnect the EGR valve connector (A), the ECT sensor 1 connector (B), the front secondary HO2S connector (C) and the front A/F sensor connector (D). Then remove the harness clamp (E) securing the harness holder.






4. Remove the dipstick (F), and the harness holder mounting bolt (G) securing the harness holder.

5. Remove the front cylinder head cover.






Rear

1. Remove the intake manifold Intake Manifold Removal/Installation.

2. Remove the three ignition coils from the rear cylinder head cover Service and Repair.

3. Remove the drive belt Service and Repair.

4. Remove the power steering pump and the power steering hose bracket with its hoses connected.

5. Remove the harness holder mounting bolts (A), the ground cable (B), and the breather hose (C).





6. Disconnect the three injector connectors (D) and remove the harness clamps (E).

7. Remove the engine wire harness (F) from the rear upper cover.

8. Remove the rear cylinder head cover.
