Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement

Removal

NOTE: Removal of the front passenger's weight sensors must be performed according to the precautions/procedures described at the beginning of the SRS section.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Remove the tamper-resistant TORX bolts (A) attaching the seat track (B) and seat riser (C) to the weight sensors (D).





4. Disconnect the sensor connectors (E) from the ODS unit harness connectors, then remove the front passenger's weight sensors.

Installation

NOTE: Make sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfering with other parts.

1. Install the front passenger's weight sensors with TORX bolts (A, B, C) under the seat track.





2. Reinstall the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.

4. Clear any DTCs with the HDS.

5. Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization.

6. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator should comes for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
