Starter Removal and Installation
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure.
2. Remove the ATF dipstick (A) and the radiator hose bracket (B).
3. Remove the harness clamp (C).
4. Disconnect the positive starter cable (D) and the S terminal connector (E).
5. Remove the two bolts holding the starter, then remove the starter.
Installation
1. Install the starter, then tighten the mounting bolts (A).
NOTE: Always use a new gasket (B).
2. Install the radiator hose bracket (C) and the ATF dipstick (D).
3. Connect the positive starter cable (E) and the S terminal connector (F). Make sure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces away from the starter when you connect it.
4. Install the harness clamp (G).
5. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
6. Start the engine to make sure the starter works properly.
