Hood Support Strut Replacement

NOTE:

- Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the hood support strut.
- Use eye protection when prying the support strut clips.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. While an assistant supports the hood, remove the bolts securing the hood support strut (A), and pry the support strut clips (B) with a flat-tip screwdriver, then release the support strut from the pivot bolt (C).

NOTE: Do not remove the clips from the support strut.






2. While an assistant supports the hood, set the support strut clips (A) on the original position, then reattach the support strut (B) on the pivot bolt (C) by pushing the support strut onto the pivot, and install the support strut with the bolts.
