Rear Seat-Back Cover Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat belt or the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- The left seat-back is shown; the right seat-back is similar.

1. Remove the armrest Rear Seat Armrest Replacement.

2. Remove the seat-back Rear Seat Removal / Installation.

3. Remove all of the head restraints.

4. Left seat-back: Remove the screws, then remove the center belt guide (A).






5. Pry up the cap (A), and remove the screw. Release the hooks (B), then remove the latch knob trim (C).






6. Pry up the lid (A), and release the hooks (B), then remove the tether anchor cover (C).






7. Detach the clips (A) securing the latch cover (B), and pull out the cover to detach the clips (C).






8. Release the lower hook strip (A), and unzip the seat-back cover (B). Pull the cover (C) out the tether anchor hole.





9. Pull the remote fold down cable (D) out through the hole (E).

10. Turn over the seat-back cover (A) to detach the clips.






11. Release the hook strips (A) from the frame.






12. Remove the seat-back cover/pad (A) from the seat-back frame (B).

1. Left rear seat-back: Pass through the pivot bolt (C) to the cover hole (D).

2. Left rear seat-back: While pulling up the seat-back frame, release the inside hook strips (E).

3. Pull up the seat-back frame, then remove the head restraint guides (F) and the center head restraint guides (G) while pinching the end of the guides.





13. Pull back the edge of the seat-back cover (A) all the way around, and release the upholstery rings (B), then remove the seat-back cover.

14. Install the seat-back cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- To prevent wrinkles when installing the seat-back cover, make sure the material is stretched evenly over the pad before securing the upholstery rings and the hook strips.
- Replace all of the upholstery rings (A) fastening the seat-back cover (B) to the pad wires (C) with new ones using commercially available upholstery ring pliers (D).
