Back Window Glass: Adjustments



Window Adjustment - Midgate

1. Remove the midgate inner panel. Refer toMidgate Panel Replacement - Inner () .
2. Loosen the midgate window run channel retaining screws. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Midgate (Window Channel Replacement - Midgate) .




3. Lower the midgate window out of the midgate weatherstrip.
4. Remove the midgate window regulator adjustment covers (2) from the midgate inner panel.
5. Loosen the lower regulator attachment nuts (3).
6. Adjust the fore/aft position of the midgate window by turning the adjustment screws (1).

* To move the top edge of window rearward, turn the adjustment screws clockwise.
* To move the top edge of the window forward, turn the adjustment screws counterclockwise.
* Each revolution of the adjustment screw moves the top edge of the window 0.5 mm (0.02 in) forward or rearward.
* Maximum adjustment is 6 revolutions in either direction.


Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

7. Install the lower regulator attachment nuts (3).

Tighten the regulator attachment nuts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

8. Install the midgate window run channel retaining screws. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Midgate (Window Channel Replacement - Midgate) .
9. Install the midgate window regulator adjustment covers (2) to the midgate inner panel.
10. Install the midgate inner panel. Refer toMidgate Panel Replacement - Inner () .
