Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Ignition Coil Test:

1. Disconnect the ignition coil terminals.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between terminals 1 and 2.

Resistance: Approximately 1 Ohm

3. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between terminals 1 and 3.

Resistance: Approximately 10k Ohms

4. Visually check the coil for leakage an damage.
Replace the coil if it fails the above tests.
