36A Verification Test

1. Leave the DRBII Connected to the Bus Diagnostic Connector. Reconnect any disconnected components.

a. With DRBII, erase all fault codes.

b. Display EATX temperature.

c. Start and run the engine until the EATX temperature is HOT.

2. Check the Transaxle Fluid Level (Adjust if Necessary).

3. Road Test the Vehicle.

a. With DRBII, read the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).

b. Make 15 to 20 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 upshifts. (Perform these shifts from a standing start to 45 mph with a constant throttle opening of 20 to 25 degrees.)

c. Below 25 mph, make 5 to 8 wide open throttle kick downs to first gear. (Allow at least 5 seconds each in 2nd and 3rd between each kickdown.)

4. Check for Fault Codes Set During the Road Test.

- If a fault code sets during the road test, perform TEST 2A.

- If no fault codes set, but the transaxle performance is unacceptable, see HELP 7.

- If no codes were set and the transaxle performance was acceptable, return the vehicle back to the owner.
