Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice (Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair) .
3. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose and the brake pipe fittings.
4. Place a clean suitable container under the brake pipe fitting (4).
Important: Hold the brake hose (1) with a suitable tool whilst disconnecting the brake pipe fitting (4) to prevent damage to the brake pipe fitting (4).
5. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting (4) from the brake hose (1).
Important: Install a rubber cap or plug to the brake pipe fitting (4) in order to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
6. Plug the brake pipe fitting (4).
7. Remove the brake hose retaining clip (2) from brake hose (1) and remove from the brake hose retaining bracket (3).
8. Detach the brake hose (1) from the upper control arm mounted brake hose retaining bracket (5).
