Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement
Removal Procedure

Important: Failure to observe the following procedure when handling energy absorbers could cause personal injury.
* Do not apply heat to an energy absorber.
* Do not weld in the area of an energy absorber.
* Do not attempt to repair a damaged energy absorber. Always replace the damaged energy absorber with a new part.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
3. Disengage and remove the front energy absorber (1) from the front bumper impact bar (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Engage the front energy absorber (1) onto the front bumper impact bar (2), ensuring it audibly engages.
2. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
