Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement

Removal Procedure (Up to 17 Sept 2007)

1. Remove the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Using a suitable tool carefully remove cupholder trim (1) by disengaging the retaining clips.




3. Remove the cupholder mat (1) located at the base of the cupholder.




4. Remove the cupholder (4) retaining screws (1).
5. Remove the cupholder (4) from the centre console (3) by releasing the retaining lug (2) and lifting upwards.



Installation Procedure (Up to 17 Sept 2007)





1. Install the cupholder (4) into the centre console (3) listen for an audible click from the retaining lug (2) to confirm fitting.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





3. Install the cupholder mat (1).




4. Install the cup holder trim (1) by firmly engaging the retaining clips.
5. Install the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .



Removal Procedure (From 17 Sept 2007)

1. Remove the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .




2. Using a suitable tool carefully remove the cupholder trim (1) by disengaging the retaining clips.




3. Remove the cupholder mat (1) located at the base of the cupholder.




4. Remove the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).
5. Remove the cupholder (4) from the centre console (3) by releasing the retaining lug (2) and lifting upwards.



Installation Procedure (From 17 Sept 2007)






Important: Listen for an audible click from the retaining lug (2) to confirm fitting.


1. Install the cupholder (4) into the centre console (3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the cupholder to centre console retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





3. Install the cupholder mat (1).




4. Install the cup holder trim (1) by firmly engaging the retaining clips.
5. Install the centre console trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
