Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) .




3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley to alternator bracket retaining bolt (1).
4. Remove the drive belt idler pulley (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive belt idler pulley (2).
2. Hand tighten the drive belt idler pulley to alternator bracket retaining bolt (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

4. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) .
5. Install the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
