Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement





1. Inspect the O-ring seal (1) for cuts or damage. If the O-ring seal (1) is not cut or damaged, it may be used again.
2. Lubricate the O-ring seal (1) with clean engine oil.
3. Install the O-ring seal (1) onto the oil level indicator tube (2).




4. Install the oil level indicator tube (2) to the engine and rotate into correct position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

5. Install oil level indicator tube to cylinder head bracket retaining bolt (3).

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

6. Install the oil level indicator (1) to the oil level indicator tube (2).
