Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement - Center

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
Caution: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution (Service Precautions) .
2. Remove the intermediate exhaust assembly. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Pipe Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the centre exhaust heat shield to body retaining bolts (1).
4. Remove the centre exhaust heat shield (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the centre exhaust heat shield (2) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the centre exhaust heat shield to body retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

3. Install the intermediate exhaust assembly. Refer to Exhaust Crossover Pipe Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
