Drum Brake Hardware Inspection





1. Visually inspect the drum brake system hold-down springs (15,22) for the following:

* Excessive corrosion
* Damaged or bent locating pins
* Broken spring coils
* Damaged retaining cups

2. Visually inspect the anchor spring (18) and the return springs (8,19) for the following:

* Excessive corrosion
* Excessive stretching
* Broken hook ends
* Twisting or binding

3. Replace the drum brake system hardware if necessary. Refer to Drum Brake Hardware Replacement (Drum Brake Hardware Replacement).
