Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the right rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement).
3. Remove the right rear seat hinge. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Outer Hinge Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Outer Hinge Replacement).
4. Remove the right rear door sill trim. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the right rear seat garnish trim.
6. Remove the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the rear compartment access panel. Refer to Rear Accessory Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Remove tool storage access panel. Refer to Rear Accessory Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Remove tool storage tray.
10. Remove child tether upper anchor brackets. Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Upper) (Service and Repair).
11. Remove the right lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).




12. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover (1).
13. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt (8).
14. Remove the shoulder belt guide (7).
15. Remove the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (5).
16. Remove the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt (3).
17. Remove the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt (4).
18. Remove the rear seat belt retractor assembly (2).



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

1. Install the rear seat belt retractor (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the upper mounting bolt (3) and the lower mounting bolt (4).

* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).


2. Install the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (5).

Tighten the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

3. Install the shoulder belt guide (7). Secure with bolt (8).

Tighten the seat belt upper anchor bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

4. Install the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover (1).
5. Install the right lower quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the child tether upper anchor brackets. Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Upper) (Service and Repair).
7. Install the tool storage compartment tray.
8. Install the tool storage access panel. Refer to Rear Accessory Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Install the rear compartment access panel. Refer to Rear Accessory Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Install the rear storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the right rear seat garnish trim.
12. Install the right rear door sill trim. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
13. Install the right rear seat hinge. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Outer Hinge Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Outer Hinge Replacement).
14. Install the right rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Rear Seat Replacement).
15. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
