Camshaft Intake Sprocket with Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure





Note: When removing the camshaft sprockets, the timing belt replacement procedure must be followed to ensure the camshafts and crankshaft are locked into position.

1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket bolt cap (4).
3. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket bolt (3).
4. Remove the camshaft intake sprocket with actuator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the camshaft intake sprocket (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the camshaft intake sprocket bolt (3).

Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt to 65 Nm (47.9 lb ft).

3. Install the camshaft intake sprocket bolt cap (4).

Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt cap to 50 Nm (36.8 lb ft).

4. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
