Crankshaft Balancer Replacement
Special Tools
* EN 46106 Flywheel Holding Tool.
* J 45059 Angle Meter.
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).
Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Replacement (3.6L) (Service and Repair)Starter Replacement (6.0L) (Service and Repair).
4. Install the EN 46106 (1) through the starter mounting hole.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Removal (Overhaul).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation (Overhaul).
2. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Remove EN 46106 (1) from the starter mounting hole.
5. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Replacement (3.6L) (Service and Repair)Starter Replacement (6.0L) (Service and Repair).
6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair).
