Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement).




3. Remove the throttle body electrical connector (1) from the throttle body.




4. Remove the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1).
5. Remove the throttle body and gasket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Carefully clean the throttle body mounting surfaces of any gasket and/or sealing material.




2. Install the throttle body and NEW gasket to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Install the throttle body electrical connector (1) to the throttle body.
5. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement).
6. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn (Programming and Relearning).
7. Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs.
