DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING:

If you do not select a suitable route and take proper precautions when performing a road test, an accident can occur.

- Select a level road with no traffic to minimize the risk of accident.
- Perform the test extremely carefully.
- Perform the road test using 2 persons, a driver and an assistant.

NOTE:

- If other DTC than P0713 is newly detected during this "DTC Confirmation Procedure", troubleshoot the newly detected DTC in first.
- Confirm that the following conditions are met in this procedure.

- Battery voltage > 10.5 V

1) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
2) Drive vehicle at more than 20 km/h (12 mile/h) for 20 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "CVT System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to CVT System Check CVT System Check.

2. CVT fluid temperature sensor signal circuit check

Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Disconnect "C142", "E19" and "E20" connectors.
Check for proper terminal connection to "C142", "E19" and "E20" connectors.
If connections are OK, check the following points.
- Resistance of "A1" and "A2" circuits: less than 1 ohms
- Resistance between "A1" circuit terminal and each terminal at "C142" connector: infinity
- Voltage of "A1" and "A2" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.

3. CVT fluid temperature sensor check

Check CVT fluid temperature sensor. Testing and Inspection

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Replace CVT fluid temperature sensor (valve body assembly). Service and Repair
