Installation

AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2GR-FE):

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH





(a) Install the compressor and magnetic clutch with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the compressor and magnetic clutch.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE





(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.
(d) Install the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE





(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the hose.
(b) Apply sufficient compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor and magnetic clutch.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring onto the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose sub-assembly.
(d) Install the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose onto the compressor and magnetic clutch with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP





(a) Install the piping clamp to the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose and No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
5. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (Installation)

6. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT (Installation)

7. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (Installation)

8. INSTALL FAN SHROUD (Installation)

9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT UPPER (Installation)

10. INSTALL NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle) (Installation)

11. INSTALL NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle) (Installation)

12. CONNECT RADIATOR OUTLET HOSE (Installation)

13. CONNECT RADIATOR INLET HOSE (Installation)

14. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE (Installation)

15. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (Reassembly)

16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/o Fog Light) (Installation)

17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Fog Light) (Installation)

18. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (Installation)

19. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
20. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY (Installation)

21. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
22. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (Testing and Inspection)

23. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (Testing and Inspection)

24. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT (Service and Repair)

25. WARM UP ENGINE (Service and Repair)

26. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT LEAKS (Service and Repair)

27. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (Installation)

28. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (Installation)

29. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
30. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
31. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
32. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH
33. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
34. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH
35. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light) (Adjustments)

36. PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light) (Adjustments)

37. FOG LIGHT AIMING INSPECTION (w/ Fog Light) (Adjustments)
