1. CHECK COMBINATION METER (METER ECU)

















(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 1 of the meter.





HINT: As vehicle speed increases, the wavelength shortens.





(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 2 of the meter.





HINT: As vehicle speed increases, the wavelength shortens.





(c) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 3 of the meter.





HINT: Waveform changes as illumination dims ("A" becomes longer).

2. CHECK SUB WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR

Waveform 1:

(a) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 1 of the meter.





HINT: As vehicle speed increases, the wavelength shortens.

Waveform 2:

(b) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 2 of the meter.





HINT: As vehicle speed increases, the wavelength shortens.

Waveform 3:

(c) Using an oscilloscope, check the signal waveform 3 of the meter.





HINT: Waveform changes as illumination dims ("A" becomes longer).
