SEAT: SEAT HEATER SYSTEM:
INSPECTION
1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for Driver Side)
(a) Measure the resistance between the terminals when the switch is operated.
Standard Resistance:
If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.
(b) Push the seat heater switch ON and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates when switch is operated.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch or bulb.
(c) Check that the seat heater switch illuminates.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch or bulb.

OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch or bulb.
3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Check the seat cushion heater.
(1) Apply battery voltage and check the seat cushion assembly.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater assembly.
NOTE: After confirming that the seat heater is functioning normally, immediately remove the battery leads. Failing to do so will cause the seat heater to overheat.
(b) Check the thermostat.
(1) Apply battery voltage and check the seat cushion heater.
OK:
If the temperature of the seat heater rises above the specified value, replace the seat heater assembly.
NOTE: After confirming that the seat heater's temperature is rising, immediately remove the battery leads. Failing to do so will cause the seat heater to overheat if the thermostat is malfunctioning.
4. INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Apply battery voltage and check the seatback heater.
OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the seatback heater assembly.
NOTE: After confirming that the seat heater is functioning normally, immediately remove the battery leads. Failing to do so will cause the seat heater to overheat.
5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH
