Installation

3MZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY:

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket to the intake air connector.
(b) Install the throttle body with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)
(c) Connect the water by-pass hose No. 3.
(d) Connect the water by-pass hose No. 2.
(e) Connect the throttle control motor & throttle position sensor connector.
2. INSTALL INTAKE AIR RESONATOR
3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (Installation)

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY
5. CHECK CONNECTION OF VACUUM HOSE
6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (Service and Repair)

7. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
8. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Fit the 2 retainers and install the V-bank cover.
(b) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench 5, tighten the 3 nuts.
Torque: 7.9 Nm (81 kgf-cm, 70 in-lbf)
9. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER BRACE CENTER
(a) Install the upper brace with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 80 Nm (815 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)
