Removal








2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Testing and Inspection
2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector (*1).
(b) Disconnect the purge VSV connector (*2).
(c) Disconnect the 2 purge VSV vacuum hoses (*3).
(d) Disconnect the purge line hose from the clamp (*4).





(e) Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose.





(f) Lock the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and then disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body.





(g) Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner cap.
(h) Remove the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner case.
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY





(a) Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector and wire harness clamp.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts, and then remove the fuel pipe support and throttle body.





(c) Disconnect the purge line hose from the throttle body.
(d) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the throttle body.
(e) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body.
(f) Disconnect the No. 1 throttle body hose from the throttle body.





(g) Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
