CLUTCH: CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION Service Precautions.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID Removal
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal
7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH Removal
10. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER LINK ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY Removal.
14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
15. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal
16. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH (for TMC Made) Removal
17. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH (for TMMK Made) Removal
18. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
19. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Smart Key System) Removal
20. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/ Smart Key System) Removal
21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL NO.1 Removal
22. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (for TMC Made) Removal
23. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (for TMMK Made) Removal
24. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS





(a) Remove the clip and pin, and disconnect the push rod clevis from the clutch pedal.
25. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it is spilled on any painted surface.

26. DISCONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE





(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the tube from the clutch master cylinder.
HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.

27. DISCONNECT CLUTCH LINE





(a) Using SST, disconnect the clutch line.
SST: 09023-00101
HINT: Use a container to catch the fluid.

28. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and clutch master cylinder.
(b) Remove the gasket from the clutch master cylinder assembly.
