REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal
5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal
6. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH Removal
7. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal
12. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Removal
13. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
15. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX POCKET Removal
17. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET Removal

19. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Removal
20. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Removal
21. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal
22. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET BRACKET LH Removal
23. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET BRACKET RH Removal
24. REMOVE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR Removal
25. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and the floor shift lever assembly.
26. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Removal
27. DISCONNECT NO. 4 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a wrench, hold the lock nut and loosen the turnbuckle.
(b) Disconnect the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.
28. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY
(a) Using needle-nose pliers, remove the clip from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.
(b) Remove the bolt, nut, and the No. 1 parking brake cable clamp.
(c) Separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the body.
(d) Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.
(e) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts, and the parking brake pedal assembly with the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the body.
