DESCRIPTION

The HV control ECU receives shift position R signal and controls the back-up light relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK-UP LIGHT RELAY




(a) Remove the back-up light relay from the engine room relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RELAY - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A61 hybrid vehicle ECU connector.




(b) Remove the back-up relay from the engine room relay block.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
(a) Reconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.




(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RELAY)




(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RELAY)
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BULB - RELAY AND BODY GROUND)
