Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode
DESCRIPTION
HINT: "ABS/VSC/TRAC" refers to the circuit that includes the skid control ECU.
WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- Turn the power switch off before measuring the resistances of the CAN bus main wires and CAN bus branch wires.
- After the power switch is turned off, check that the key reminder warning system and lighting system are not operating.
- Before measuring the resistance, leave the vehicle as is for at least 1 minute and do not operate the power switch, any other switches, or the doors. If any doors need to be opened in order to check connectors, open the doors and leave them open.
HINT: Operating the power switch, any other switches, or a door triggers related ECU and sensor communication on the CAN. This communication will cause the resistance value to change.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE)
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, GND1, GND2)
(a) Disconnect skid control ECU connectors A73, A75, and A76.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
HINT: Measure the resistance with skid control ECU connector A74 disconnected.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage:
HINT: Measure the voltage with skid control ECU connector A74 disconnected.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
