SEAT BELT: REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the degree of the tilt when the ELR begins to lock.
(1) Check that the belt does not lock at less than 15 degrees of tilt in any direction but locks at over 45 degrees of tilt while gently pulling the belt.
NOTICE: Do not disassemble the retractor.

(b) Align the claw with the seat belt positioning hole and install the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31ft-lbf)
2. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HOLE COVER Installation
4. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER Installation
5. CONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Connect the floor end of the rear seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31ft-lbf)
NOTICE: Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the floor panel.

(b) Check if the ELR locks.
NOTICE: The check should be performed with the outer belt assembly installed.
(1) With the belt assembly installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

9. CONNECT REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation
10. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
11. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation
12. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
13. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation
14. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation
15. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH Installation
16. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
