DTC B2791 - Communication Condition Failure between ECM

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when the ID code box does not respond to a verification request signal from the ECM.
HINT:
- If the engine switch is turned off immediately after an engine start, this DTC is also detected.
- If this DTC is detected simultaneously with DTC B2799, troubleshoot DTC B2799 first.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- If the ID code box is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (W/ Smart Key System).
- If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (W/ Smart Key System).
- If the engine can be started even when DTC B2791 is output, the ID code box can be considered normal. Be sure to recheck for DTCs after clearing the DTCs Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Delete the DTCs Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).
(b) Recheck for DTCs Engine Immobiliser System (w/ Smart Key System).
