INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH, PNP SWITCH)
OK -- REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH, PNP SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the back-up light switch*1 or the park/neutral position switch*2.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for Manual Transmission / Transaxle*1
for Automatic Transmission / Transaxle*2

HINT:
- *1: for Manual Transmission / Transaxle
- *2: for Automatic Transmission / Transaxle
- *3: for 2AZ-FE
- *4: for 2ZR-FE

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CONFIRM MODEL
Result:

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - BATTERY)
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH - BATTERY)

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

- *3: for 2AZ-FE
- *4: for 2ZR-FE

Result:

C -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH (for E351 Manual Transmission / Transaxle)
B -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH (for C59 Manual Transmission / Transaxle)
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - BATTERY)

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

Result:

D -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (for U140F Automatic Transmission / Transaxle)
C -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (for U341E Automatic Transmission / Transaxle)
B -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (for U250E Automatic Transmission / Transaxle)
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
