Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The occupant classification ECU detects the state of the front seat inner belt assembly RH and road sensor when the front passenger seat is occupied with the ignition switch ON. If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened, the front seat belt warning light on the telltale light assembly blinks. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTCs
(a) Check for DTCs.
Result:
C -- GO TO OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
B -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".
Combination Meter
OK:
Switch condition (ON/OFF) can be switched by "Active Test"
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY POSITIVE AND BODY GROUND)
OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY POSITIVE AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the E60connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR, OR REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the E55connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
