AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION
(a) Using SST, install a new rear No. 1 differential mount cushion.
(A):
5.0 to 6.0 mm (0.197 to 0.236 in.)
(B):
-3° to +3°





SST: 09570-24011
NOTICE:
- Do not set SST in the wrong direction.
- Install the mount cushion within -3° to 3° from the center.
- Temporarily install the mount cushion to the member before installing SST to prevent the cushion from being tilted.
- Apply grease to the threads of the SST bolts before use.
- Be sure to use SST in the correct combination.
- Make sure that SST contacts the entire mount cushion seating surface.
- Do not slant the SST bolts.
- Install the mount cushion so that the protrusion is positioned upward.

2. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY WITH DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT





(a) Install the differential with rear No. 1 differential support to the rear suspension member front side with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 118 Nm (1200 kgf-cm, 87 ft-lbf)





(b) Install the differential with support bolts to the rear suspension member rear side with the 2 rear mounting bolts.
Torque: 137 Nm (1400 kgf-cm, 101 ft-lbf)
3. INSTALL NO. 6 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET Installation
4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER
HINT: Refer to the instructions for installation of the rear suspension member Installation.

5. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL Service and Repair
6. INSPECT AND ADJUST DIFFERENTIAL OIL Service and Repair
7. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
8. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT Rear Wheel Alignment (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension)
9. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
