2ZR-FE COOLING: RADIATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FAN SHROUD

(a) Install the fan shroud to the radiator assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL OIL COOLER HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Install the oil cooler hose with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses to the radiator.
3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the 2 lower radiator supports.

(b) Install the radiator assembly with the fan shroud.
NOTE: For vehicles with the air conditioning system, do not apply any excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the No. 2 fan shroud to the radiator assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the horn connector.
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the hood lock support sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf)
7. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Install the water by-pass hose with the 3 clamps.
(b) Connect the water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly with the clamp.
8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT
(a) Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the 2 upper radiator supports.

(b) Install the 2 upper radiator supports with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
10. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)
11. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clamp.
12. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly with the clamp.
13. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE

(a) Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly with the clamp.
14. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY
15. INSTALL BATTERY Installation
16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
19. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/o Front Spoiler) Installation
20. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Spoiler) Installation
21. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (w/ Fog Light) Adjustments
22. PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light) Adjustments
23. INSPECT FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light) Adjustments
24. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light) Adjustments
25. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
26. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
