EXTERIOR: REAR SPOILER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Installation
2. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Large Type:
HINT: When installing the spoiler, heat the vehicle body and spoiler using a heat light.

Heating temperature:





NOTE: Do not heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler excessively.
(1) Put protective tape under the rear spoiler.
(2) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface and rear spoiler.
(3) Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body and rear spoiler.
(4) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
(5) Apply new double-sided tape to the rear spoiler.




(6) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler.
(7) Remove the release paper from the rear spoiler.
HINT: After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

(b) Connect the center stop light connector.





(c) Attach the 3 clips to install the rear spoiler.





(d) Install the 4 bolts.
3. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL BACK DOOR UPPER TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY Reassembly
5. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOWER TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY Reassembly
6. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY Installation
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
