1NZ-FXE COOLING: FAN: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COOLING FAN MOTOR





(a) Install the fan motor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR
(a) Install the fan motor with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
3. INSTALL FAN
(a) Install the fan with the nut.
Torque: 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN
(a) Install the fan with the nut.
Torque: 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL FAN WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Set the fan with motor to the vehicle, then install it with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)





(b) Connect the 2 wire harness clamps shown in the illustration.





(c) Install the hood lock control cable to the radiator support.
(d) Install the radiator support with the 5 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)





(e) Connect the hood lock control cable to the hood lock.
(f) Install the hood lock with the 3 bolts Installation.





(g) Connect the horn connector shown in the illustration.





(h) Install the cooler bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)





(i) Install the inverter bracket with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)
Torque: 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)





(j) Connect the connector and install the clamp.
(k) Connect the radiator inlet hose.





(l) Connect the inverter reservoir hose to each clamp.





(m) Connect the radiator reservoir hose.
(n) Connect the radiator outlet hose.





(o) Connect the hose shown in the illustration.





(p) Connect the connector shown in the illustration.





(q) Install the 2 hose clamps to the fan shroud.
(r) Connect the hose shown in the illustration.





(s) Install the hose clamp to the fan shroud.
(t) Connect the hose and connector shown in the illustration.
6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation
7. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
8. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD Installation
9. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Installation
10. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD Installation
11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)
(a) Fill the radiator on the hybrid side with coolant Coolant (for Inverter).
(b) Fill the radiator on the engine side with coolant Testing and Inspection.
12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)
(a) Check the cooling system on the hybrid side for coolant leaks.
(b) Check the cooling system on the engine side for coolant leaks Testing and Inspection.
13. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
15. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Testing and Inspection
16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.
NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
