P112 HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL: HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM: DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC CHECK / CLEAR

1. CHECK DTC (HV BATTERY)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the tester ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / HV Battery / DTC.
(d) Confirm the details of the DTCs Hybrid Battery System.
2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA
(a) If a DTC is present, select that DTC in order to display its freeze frame data.
(b) Read freeze frame data recorded when the DTC was set.
3. CHECK DTC (SYSTEMS OTHER THAN HV BATTERY)
HINT: The battery ECU maintains mutual communication with the computers, including the ECM, hybrid vehicle control ECU and others. Therefore, if the battery ECU outputs a warning, it is necessary to check and record the DTCs of all the systems.

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the tester ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Utility / All Codes.
(d) If DTCs output, check the relevant system.
HINT: If DTCs for the CAN communication system are present in addition to other DTCs, first troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions in the CAN communication How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

4. CLEAR DTC
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the tester ON.
(c) Check that the shift position is in the P position.
(d) Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
(1) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
(2) Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
