Removal








2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST PIPE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.
- The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
- Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal
2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER
5. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE BAFFLE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Using a plastic hammer, uniformly tap off the 2 tail exhaust pipe baffle sub-assemblies.
6. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
(b) Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 4 exhaust pipe supports.
(c) Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.
7. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe damper.
8. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
(b) Remove the center exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
(c) Remove the gasket from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps and heated oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).





(b) Remove the grommet.





(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
(d) Remove the 2 gaskets from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket.





(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 2).





(c) Remove the 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.
(d) Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
11. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR
(a) Remove the heated oxygen sensor Removal.
