Removal








BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE: Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

2. REMOVE BATTERY Removal
3. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
4. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER Removal
5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR (for Sedan)
(a) Disengage the clamp.





(b) Move the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow to release the lock and disconnect the brake actuator connector from the actuator.
NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.





(c) Using a union nut wrench, separate the brake tube from the front flexible hose.





(d) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake tube No. 1 way.





(e) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder.





(f) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.





(g) Use tags or labels to identify the place to reconnect each brake tube.





(h) Disconnect the brake tube clamp.





(i) Remove the 3 bolts and the actuator with bracket.
NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.

6. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR (for Hatchback)





(a) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.





(b) Using a union nut wrench, separate the brake tube from the front flexible hose.





(c) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake tube No. 1 way.





(d) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder.





(e) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.





(f) Use tags or labels to identify the place to reconnect each brake tube.
HINT:
- *1: To front wheel cylinder RH
- *2: To front wheel cylinder LH
- *3: To rear wheel cylinder RH
- *4: To rear wheel cylinder LH
- *5: From 1st master cylinder
- *6: From 2nd master cylinder





(g) Disconnect the brake tube clamp.





(h) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket.
NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.

7. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)





(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the actuator bracket.
8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback)





(a) Remove the 3 bolts and the actuator bracket.
