Removal

BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

(a) Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

7. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS

(a) Remove the clip and push rod clevis pin, and separate the brake master cylinder push rod clevis from the brake pedal sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

(a) Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

10. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support sub-assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement.

(b) Disengage the 2 clamps from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.

(d) Remove the nut from the brake pedal support sub-assembly.
