2ZR-FE FUEL: FUEL INJECTOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new injector vibration insulator to the fuel injector assembly.





(b) Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the contact surfaces of the the O-ring of the fuel injector assembly.

(c) While turning the fuel injector assembly left and right, install it onto the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.





NOTICE:
* Do not twist the O-ring.
* After installing the fuel injectors, check that they turn smoothly. If not, replace the O-ring with a new one.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER

(a) Install the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers onto the cylinder head.

NOTICE:
Install the No. 1 delivery pipe spacers in the correct direction.

3. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly with the 4 fuel injector assemblies, then temporarily install the 2 bolts.





NOTICE:
* Do not drop the fuel injectors when installing the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
* Check that the fuel injector assemblies rotate smoothly after installing the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

(b) Tighten the 2 bolts to the specified torque.





Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(c) Install the bolt to secure the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.





Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(d) Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.





Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

4. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the fuel tube sub-assembly connector into the fuel delivery pipe until a "click" sound can be heard.





NOTICE:
* Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the contact surfaces of the fuel tube connector and pipe before performing this work.
* After connecting the fuel tube, check that the fuel tube connector and pipe are securely connected by pulling on them.

(b) Install a new No. 2 fuel pipe clamp (Type B).





(c) Install a new No. 2 fuel pump clamp (Type A).





5. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE

(a) Install the 2 wire harness brackets with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the 4 wire harness clamps.





(c) Connect the 4 fuel injector assembly connectors.





(d) Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

(e) Connect the ground wires with the 2 bolts.

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE Installation

7. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

(a) Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose.





8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

9. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK Fuel System

10. INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER Installation
